Cabinet Mission came to India in 1946 in order to transfer the power from British Government to Indian leadership. The following were the members of cabinet mission:-

  • Lord Pethick Lawrence (Secretary of State for India)
  • Sir Stafford Cripps (President of the Board of Trade)
  • A.V. Alexander (First Lord of the Admiralty).
