Shimla agreement was a peace treaty between Pakistan and India after the Pak India war of 1971. It was signed by Zulafqar Ali Bhutto the then President of Pakistan and Indira Gandhi the then Prime Minister of India on 02 July, 1972 at Shimla and It came into effect on 04 August, 1972.
