Musarrat Hilali has become the first female Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, Peshawar. She took the oath as the Acting Chief Justice on 1st April 2023. Justice Tahira Safdar was the first female Chief Justice of a High Court in Pakistan, serving as the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court from September 2018 to October 2019. Justice Ayesha A. Malik is the first female judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Additionally, Suman Bodani, who belongs to Sindh Province, became the first Hindu woman to be appointed as a civil judge in Pakistan.
