Bab el Mandeb strait, also know as Gate of Grief is located between the southern tip of Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula, and the east coast of Djibouti and Eritrea in the Horn of Africa. It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden. The strait is often called the “Gate of Tears” in Arabic.
